30^ Edizione Banchetto Medievale “CONVIVIUM”
Sabato 7 SETTEMBRE 2024 nel suggestivo Giardino dell’Edera e sotto la Torre di Settentrione a Signa torna il “Banchetto Medievale”.
Arrivata ormai alla XXX edizione, vi ritroverete dal XXI al XIII secolo: ogni suono, ogni particolare, ogni personaggio sembrerà uscito dalle pieghe del tempo. I messeri e la dame, padroni di casa, accolgono i convenuti all’ingresso e li accompagnano ai tavoli apparecchiati, sopra i quali vengono poste candele e centro tavola arborei. Le pietanze dai sapori agrodolci e speziati, tipiche del Basso Medioevo – 4 Imbandigioni con Libagion a calo e minus ippocrasso – vengono servite nei “cocci” di terracotta e gustate con posate di legno, mentre l’oste riempie copiosamente le brocche di ottimo vino.
Il tutto accompagnato da musiche d’epoca ascoltando le battute sagaci e dantesche di Alessandro Calonaci e l’esibizione della Compagnia Teatrale “IL RAMINO”. E troverete anche un manipolo di artisti che realizzerà alcune opere in loco durante il Banchetto.
Come potete immaginare l’atmosfera sarà unica!!! Gli apprezzamenti riscossi gli scorsi anni e il successo di pubblico, ci impegnano a migliorarci sempre di più, perché siamo consapevoli di regalare un’emozione unica nel suo genere. Lo confermano anche le prenotazioni che si susseguono di anno in anno, sia di coloro che hanno già partecipato, che di quelli che non avendo trovato posto l’anno precedente non vogliono rischiare di rimanere ancora una volta a bocca asciutta. Quindi vi consigliamo di prenotare in anticipo visto che i “fortunati” potranno essere solo 180. Non lasciatevi sfuggire l’occasione di una cena unica, in un ambiente splendido che molti ci invidiano. La serata terminerà – stando seduti al vostro posto – con i fuochi di artificio e l’incendio della Torre di Settentrione.

30th Edition Medieval Banquet “CONVIVIUM”
The “Medieval Banquet” returns on Saturday 7 SEPTEMBER 2024 in the evocative Ivy Garden and under the Northern Tower in Signa.
Now in its 30th edition, you will find yourself from the 21st to the 13th century: every sound, every detail, every character will seem to have emerged from the folds of time. The gentlemen and ladies, hosts, welcome the guests at the entrance and accompany them to the set tables, on which candles and tree centerpieces are placed. The dishes with sweet and sour and spicy flavours, typical of the Late Middle Ages – 4 dishes with Libagion a calo and minus ippocrasso – are served in terracotta “shards” and enjoyed with wooden cutlery, while the innkeeper generously fills the jugs with excellent wine.
All accompanied by period music while listening to the sagacious and Dante-like jokes of Alessandro Calonaci and the performance of the “IL RAMINO” theater company. And you will also find a handful of artists who will create some works on site during the Banquet.
As you can imagine the atmosphere will be unique!!! The appreciation received in recent years and the public success commit us to improving ourselves more and more, because we are aware of giving a unique emotion of its kind. This is also confirmed by the bookings that follow one another from year to year, both from those who have already participated and from those who, having not found a place the previous year, do not want to risk being left empty-handed once again. We therefore advise you to book in advance as there can only be 180 of the “lucky” ones. Don’t miss the opportunity of a unique dinner, in a splendid setting that many envy us. The evening will end – while sitting in your seat – with fireworks and the burning of the Northern Tower.
