Effettuando ricerche sulla Storia, sui ‘monumenti’ e sui personaggi di Signa, la Pro Loco si è resa conto che la storia che viene raccontata, sia sui testi che su Internet, non è completa o con qualche imprecisione veniale o anche madornale. Anche sui ‘monumenti’ vale lo stesso principio esposto qui sopra. Sui personaggi la questione è più complessa in quanto numerosi di questi non vengono neanche citati o la loro biografia è sicuramente insufficiente.
La prerogativa principale della Pro Loco è quella di promuovere il territorio sotto tutti i suoi aspetti, storico, culturale, ambientale e pertanto non possiamo esimerci di approfondire gli aspetti menzionati. Per quanto sopra è stato costituito un Comitato Scientifico che ha seguito passo dopo passo questi approfondimenti per poterli inserire all’interno del nostro sito. Il cittadino, ma soprattutto il turista, scopriranno così l’importanza storica, culturale ed ambientale che la nostra città ha avuto nel tempo. Oseremo dire strategica sulla storia di Firenze e, senza anticipare alcunchè, piena di sorprese. Il primo inserimento di questo percorso, molto complesso per la sostanziale mancanza di notizie che devono essere certificate prima di essere divulgate, avrà luogo per la fine di novembre. Nei giorni a seguire e non appena in possesso delle verifiche che il Comitato Scientifico sta effettuando, il sito verrà ampliato sulla storia, sui monumenti e soprattutto sui personaggi che hanno lasciato un segno positivo, pur se minimo, sul nostro territorio. Con la speranza di fare cosa gradita a tutti si confida anche nella collaborazione dei cittadini sulla segnalazione di qualsiasi miglioramento possa effettuarsi.
La Pro Loco è patrimonio della città e lavora perché il territorio cresca e venga conosciuto sia dai cittadini che dai turisti che, si spera, anche grazie a questo piccolo contributo di storia, siano sempre più numerosi e portino benefici economici alla nostra città.

In the days to follow, and not just in possession of the checks that the Scientific Committee is carrying out, the site will be expanded on the history, the monuments, and especially on the characters that have left a positive sign, albeit minimal, on our territory.
